Speaker of the House of Federation Agegnehu Teshager has confirmed that preparations for the 19th Ethiopian Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Day are well underway.
He made the statement after inspecting the progress of preparations in the host city. The annual festival, a celebration of Ethiopia's diverse cultures, is scheduled to take place from November 25th to 29th, 2017, in Arba Minch. The host city is eagerly anticipating the arrival of cultural troupes from all regions of the country.
He also highlighted the day's potential to promote Ethiopia's diverse cultures and contribute to nation-building.
Tilahun Kebede, the head of the Southern Ethiopian region, emphasized the extensive preparations underway for the event. Themed 'National Consensus for National Unity,' the event will showcase Ethiopia's diversity in Arba Minch from November 25-29, 2017.
