The Jiangsu-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, themed "Deepening Cooperation for Development, Joining Hands to Advance Modernization," has been held today in Addis Ababa.
The event brought together senior government officials from Ethiopia and China, as well as ambassadors from various African countries residing in the Ethiopian capital.
The conference aimed to strengthen economic ties and explore new avenues for collaboration between Jiangsu Province and African nations.
Speaking on the occasion Ethiopian Minister of Finance Ahmed Shide stressed that the bilateral relations between Ethiopia and China has moved to a higher level and to harness shared sustainable development goals, the country presents an economic reform which helps create a conducive trade and economic relations.
The minister went on calling on Chinese investors to harness the untapped investment opportunity the country presents coupled Ethiopia's strategic location.
By the end of 2023 in total, ten thousand two hundred and seven investment projects had been established by Jiangsu in more than 150 nations and regions. Jiangsu has established 7 overseas industrial parks in 6 nations.
