The conversation, which included a high-level delegation from Portugal, focused on strengthening academic collaboration, particularly between universities, and expanding existing bilateral relations.
Minister Berhanu highlighted a unique initiative: the establishment of an educational museum dedicated to preserving Portugal's historical role in shaping Ethiopia's educational landscape. This museum, he emphasized, would serve as a testament to the enduring connection between the two nations.
Minister Sampaio echoed this sentiment, expressing Portugal's eagerness to deepen ties with Ethiopia not only in education but also in other areas, affirming a commitment to fostering a lasting friendship.
The Ministry of Education of Ethiopia reports that Portugal has shown a strong interest in expanding access to free education and promoting cultural collaborations.
