The ministry of transport and logistics has officially launched Ethio-green mobility 2024 exhibition and Symposium at the Huajan international light industry city special economic zone in Addis Ababa.
The expo, which is on display from November 22 to 30, showcases the latest innovations in sustainable mobility, including cutting-edge electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies.
FDRE speaker, Tagesse Chafo, minister of logistics and transport, Alemu Simie, and other senior federal and regional officials are in attendance.
Speaking on the Occasion, HPR speaker Tagesse Chafo, indicated that this expo and symposium is a demonstration of Ethiopia’s significant strides to sustainable transportation and its efforts to build a climate-resilient green economy.
He also highlighted the indispensible role of emerging innovative technologies in green transport sector to empower green mobility which is a great mile stone for the country to build green economy.
Minister of transport and logistics, Alemu Simie for his part pointed out Ethiopia is on the right path to build green economy, improving the transport landscape.
He further underscored that The Ethiopian ten year transport plan is serving as a road map to prioritize engineless transport strategies, public transport policies and electric vehicles, calling for collaboration to invest in pedestrian and vehicle transport infrastructure to ease traffic jam and improve healthy lives.
The event brought together green transport and infrastructure producers, industry leaders, policy makers and other stakeholders from various sectors to promote innovative technologies in green transport through experience sharing and collaboration.
