World Tourism Day is being celebrated in Arsi Zone, Oromia Region, under the theme 'Tourism for Peace' for three days starting today.
Guests who attended the event in the zone were welcomed at the Arsi National Park. In her welcoming remarks, Jemila Sinbiru, Head of the Oromia Culture and Tourism Bureau, stated that Arsi Zone is one of the region's primary tourism destinations.
She emphasized the need for all stakeholders to work diligently to transform the region's tourism resources into economic benefits. World Tourism Day, now in its 45th year globally and 37th year nationally, is being celebrated for the 20th time in Oromia Region.
