Ethiopia's Foreign Minister, Gideon Timeotios (Dr.), has reaffirmed the country's commitment to strengthening its long-standing strategic partnership with China. During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Chei Hain, Minister Gideon emphasized the unbreakable nature of the relationship, which has reached a strategic partnership level.
He pledged to elevate this strong relationship to new heights, working to implement the directives set within the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Minister Gideon also briefed Ambassador Chei Hain on the current situation in the Horn of Africa, emphasizing Ethiopia's commitment to collaborating with China not only in bilateral relations but also in multilateral efforts, particularly in promoting peace and security in the region.
Ambassador Chei Hain echoed this commitment, stating that China will prioritize implementing the economic, trade, and investment agreements reached by the leaders of both countries at the FOCAC Summit.
