OVID Group, a local real estate company, is set to launch the "cable car" public transportation technology in Addis Ababa, to solve the city’s transportation problem, said Yonas Tadese, company’s CEO.
The CEO told ENA that it has completed a project study.
Expanding its investment horizons into the transportation and industrial sectors, the company plans to further contribute to the development of the nation.
The cable car technology can be implemented without demolishing the railway and road infrastructure, in the city.
OVID Group also confirmed that it supports the government's efforts to build a modern city by using new technologies in the construction sector.
