Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has thanked Getachew Reda, who served as the President of the Tigray Regional Interim Administration for the past two years, for his contributions during his leadership.
In a message posted on his social media page in Tigrinya, the Prime Minister stated that in accordance with Article 62(9) of the FDRE Constitution, Article 15(3) of Proclamation 359/1995, Regulation No. 533/2015, and following the Pretoria Peace Agreement, the Federal Government and its leadership acknowledge the significant leadership role and care taken by Getachew Reda during his two years of service as the interim president of Tigray, especially in maintaining the relative peace achieved.
The PM also assured his readiness to work closely together in the future.
