Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa, Commander of the Ethiopian Air Force, stated that he has been able to observe that the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) is in a fundamental process of change.
During his visit to the EBC Media Complex today, Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa told EBC Dot Stream that EBC has brought about significant changes in its presentation of news and entertainment programs in recent times.
He said that in this world where rapid technological change is evident, it is encouraging that EBC is enhancing itself in technology and human resources to remain competitive.
He also mentioned that the work the institution is doing in continuing the Green Legacy initiative and beautifying the environment is impressive.
Lieutenant General Yilma, who stated that he has been able to observe that EBC is in a fundamental process of change, said that the institution is now able to reach the public with better presentation and speed, more than ever before.
He pointed out that through Dot Stream, television, and radio broadcasts, EBC is enabling the public to access information quickly and with quality at any time and hour.
He stated that the facility EBC has built makes it competitive with media outlets beyond Africa on a global level.
Lieutenant General Yilma said that the current state of EBC is exemplary for other institutions.
He mentioned that the Air Force has worked on numerous projects with EBC and indicated that they will continue to work together on nationally focused projects in the future.
