Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Donates 30million ETB to Mekedonia

The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has made a generous donation of 30 million birr to the Mekedonia n Elderly and Mental Health Center, emphasizing its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.

This significant contribution was announced during the 30th day of the Mekedonia n aid collection event, an occasion highlighted by the presence of the bank’s President, Abe Sano.

In his address at the event, President Abe Sano elaborated on the collaborative efforts behind the donation, revealing that 18 million birr was graciously raised through contributions from the employees and management of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.

The remaining 12 million birr was directly funded by the bank itself, culminating in a total support amount of 30 million birr to aid the center.

President Abe praised the charitable initiatives undertaken by the Mekedonia n Elderly and Mental Health Center, describing them as both commendable and inspiring.

He reiterated the bank's unwavering commitment to standing by the center and its mission, which aims to uplift and improve the lives of the elderly and those requiring mental health support. Additionally, he encouraged all citizens to contribute to the center in whatever capacity they could, underlining the importance of community support in such noble endeavors.

Binyamin Belete, the founder and Chief Lawyer of Mekedonia, expressed his gratitude towards the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, acknowledging its status as a steadfast supporter of the center.

He highlighted that the bank's regular support and involvement have been crucial to the center's ongoing ability to serve the community effectively.

According to reports from the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, this latest donation brings the total financial assistance provided to the Mekedonia n Elderly and Mental Health Center to over 205 million birr over various intervals.

This steadfast partnership between the bank and the center reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable members of society.
