Officials from the Addis Ababa City Administration have visited the scene of a fire that occurred in the Mercato Shema Tera area and assessed the damage to property.
According to Moges Balcha, head of the Prosperity Party's Addis Ababa branch office, half of the building that caught fire was saved from the blaze.
The Addis Ababa Mayor's Office reports that the coordinated efforts of various community members and security forces to control the fire and prevent its spread are commendable.
Moges stated that the city administration is committed to working diligently to help those who suffered property damage from the fire to rebuild.
