The present compelling national, regional and global geopolitical, economic and demographic scenarios have made access to a sea outlet a must for Ethiopia, said Vice President of Academic, Research, Technology Transfer, and Community Service at Madda Walabu University.
The vice president, Bezabeh Wondimu (PhD) made the remark as the university hosted a panel discussion on Ethiopia's development initiatives related to securing access to sea outlets in the presence of prominent figures from the government, academics, and different social segments.
The panel also highlighted that all citizens ought to consider the sea outlet issue brought up by Ethiopia.
According to Bezabeh, the University will support the national endeavour to achieve this goal, and all the citizens of the country should work toward it.
Participants of the forum on their part underlined that the effort for Ethiopia to get a sea outlet is a matter of existence and this should be done in a way that respects the mutual benefits of the two brotherly sides.
