United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres expressed condolences over the loss of citizens in south Ethiopia. “I’m deeply saddened by the loss of more than 200 lives in the south of Ethiopia following landslides triggered by heavy rains,” Guterres wrote on X.
UN agencies are dispatching food, nutrition, health and other critical supplies to help affected people, he added.
