The Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash GebreMichael was honored with Africa's first Great Wall Commemorative Gold Medal Award.
The Ministry of Public Security of China awarded the Great Wall Commemorative Gold Medal, the first of its kind in Africa, to the Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General.
He was awarded recognition for his efforts in enhancing police-to-police relations between Ethiopia and China, including his contributions to security cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as his role in the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation and regional collaboration with the Chinese police.
The recognition was also awarded to individuals currently serving as board members of the International Public Security Cooperation Forum, which is dedicated to ensuring the peace and security of citizens.
