Foreign Affairs Minister Taye Atske Selassie met and exchanged views with has discussed with Ian Borg, his Maltese Counterpart.
The Minister's arrival to the Eastern African nation is aimed at fostering cooperation between the two nations.
Taye used the occasion to congratulate the Government of Malta for its Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) chairmanship. Malta took balanced and reasonable stance on various multilateral forums including the UN Security Council, particularly on matters pertaining to global peace and security.
While in Ethiopia, Minster Borg conducted high-level meetings with Ethiopian government officials including Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, to explore opportunities for further collaboration and partnership.
The Ethio-Malta Investment & Trade Promotion Forum was held on 12 March 2024 in Addis Ababa where 30 Maltese companies and 150 companies from Ethiopia took part in the joint business forum.//
