Addis Ababa is welcoming a flurry of high-level visitors as several African presidents and the President of state of Palestine arrived this evening for the 38th African Union (AU) Summit. Among those already present are President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno of Chad, President Mohamed Younis Al-Menfi of Libya, President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, President Salva Kiir Mayardit of South Sudan, and President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine. The leaders are expected to participate in discussions and deliberations on key issues facing the continent during the summit. Further arrivals are anticipated in the coming days.
