Foreign Minister Dr. Gideon Timotheos has held talks with the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Sudan, Ramtane Lamamra.
During the discussion, Dr. Gideon Timotheos stated that efforts initiated by various parties to bring peace to Sudan should be consolidated and directed towards a single, effective path.
Ramtane Lamamra, for his part, emphasized the critical need for peace to address the humanitarian crisis caused by the conflict in Sudan.
Information obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that Ethiopia's support and significant role in efforts to establish peace in Sudan were also highlighted in the discussion.
