Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated a modern, eight-story parking garage capable of accommodating over 1,300 vehicles at once.
The $22 million facility, built for airline employees, was completed in just over a year and a month. The 48,000 square-meter building features accessibility for people with disabilities, charging stations for electric vehicles, and incorporates modern construction technology to ensure fire safety.
Constructed by the Chinese Jiangsu Construction Company and K2N Architecture and Engineering Consulting, the parking garage's inauguration ceremony was attended by Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tassew, representatives from Jiangsu Construction Company, senior Ethiopian Airlines officials, and invited guests.
Ethiopian Airlines stated that in addition to creating a comfortable work environment for its employees, it is also undertaking a second phase of housing construction, aiming to provide homes for 5,000 employees.
