Several Ambassadors and embassies of different countries have wished Ethiopians a happy 2017 Ethiopian New Year, which has been celebrated colourfully since yesterday, September 11. As a result, the Embassy of the United Russian Federation to Ethiopia conveyed its hope that the Ethiopian people will experience success, wealth, and peace in the coming year.
Similarly, Ethiopians have received a reputation from the United States Embassy to Ethiopia that this year will bring everyone happiness and peace. Wishing a Happy New Year 2017 to Ethiopians, the Executive Officer of the United Kingdom Embassy to Ethiopia, Andrew O'Kidden, also stated that there were many positive developments in Ethiopia last year and that the UK respects the government's commitment to implementing economic reforms, which will benefit Ethiopians by creating jobs and opportunities for prosperity. Alongside their nation, trading and capturing overseas partners, the entire global community appealed for assistance in promoting peace in Ethiopia in the New Year, he added.
In his greetings, Israel's ambassador to Ethiopia, Dr. Abraham Nigussie, wished Ethiopians a joyous passage from one period to the next. Israel's envoy further expressed his hope for a peaceful, prosperous, and love-filled 2017 E.C. The Chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Ethiopia, Shen Qinmin wishes a happy new year to all Ethiopians, highlighting the fact that China and Ethiopia have separate calendars that set them apart and that Ethiopia is a masterpiece with a rich history and culture.
During his visit, France will do everything in its power to fortify the bilateral ties between the two brotherly nations. The recently appointed French Ambassador to Ethiopia, Alexis Lamech, wishes Ethiopians a prosperous and peaceful new year. Julia Niblett, the Australian Ambassador to Ethiopia, wishes a happy new year to every Ethiopian. Happy New Year, too, was expressed by Mohamed Salem Al-Rashidi, the UAE's Ambassador to Ethiopia.
Meanwhile, Happy New Year's greetings were sent to all Ethiopians by Atif Sherif Mian, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Ethiopia. He claimed that Ethiopians' innate vision and trained attention should be recognized first to recognize Ethiopia's potential to lead Africa.
In a similar vein, Ali Akbar Rezai, the Islamic Republic of Iran's ambassador to Ethiopia, wished the Ethiopian people a day filled with love, peace, and prosperity on the first of the year. Last but not least, via their Embassies, the following countries have wished Ethiopians a Happy New Year 2017: Austria, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Morocco, India, and Mexico, among others.
