Ethiopia actively participated in the BRICS Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Ministerial Meeting, which recently concluded in Brasilia, Brazil.
During the high-level gathering, Ambassador Leulseged Abebe represented Ethiopia, outlining the nation's comprehensive STI Policy. He highlighted several concrete initiatives undertaken by Ethiopia to leverage science, technology, and innovation for shared prosperity, including the notable opening of a Science Museum.
Ambassador Leulseged also seized the opportunity to call for robust partnerships among BRICS member states and their partners. He urged collaborative efforts to enhance access to advanced technologies and knowledge, foster research and innovation, promote STI-based trade and investment, and strengthen capacity building across the bloc.
