Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gideon Timotewos said Ethiopia's quest for access to a sea gained international recognition.
The minister disclosed this during a review of the government’s 100-day performance in the third quarter of the 2024/25 fiscal year and comprehensive macroeconomic implementation.
Minister Gideon explained that many achievements have been recorded in bilateral and multilateral diplomatic relations in the past nine months.
He mentioned Ethiopia’s successful participation in the BRICS forum, as well as its effective hosting of the African Union Summit and its election as a member of the Peace and Security Council of the Union.
He pointed out that disputes with neighboring countries related to ports and maritime issues have been resolved through peaceful and diplomatic means and that Ethiopia has been able to make its access to sea agenda accepted internationally.
