The Ministry of Trade & Regional Integration has announced that export trade has fetched $ 617 million US in the course of the past eight months.
The Ministry reaped this revenue against its plan of 705.15 million dollars from exports during the stated period, a performance of 87.51 percent.
Pulses and oil-seeds generated the highest revenue, according to the Ministry.
Implementation of the investment farm policy and the improvement the demand that the international market has shown towards soybean and red kidney beans and the increase in sesame production are the reasons for the growth in the sector.//
