Ambassador Mesganu Arga, state minister of Foreign Affairs has indicated that Ethiopia will continue to strengthen its role in maintaining peace and security in East Africa.
He made this statement during a training session for existing diplomats and young volunteer cadets organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the African Leadership Excellence Academy. In his remarks on Ethiopia's role in East Africa's peace and security, Ambassador Mesganu explained that Ethiopia works collaboratively with other countries to ensure the region's security and stability by strengthening partnerships.
He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to strengthen economic and political ties in the volatile Horn of Africa region, based on shared principles. According to ENA, he also stressed the importance of successful collaboration between diplomats and young volunteer cadets, driven by national pride, to ensure the successful hosting of the African Union Summit of Heads of State in Addis Ababa in mid-February. This summit is crucial for fully upholding the nation's interests and fulfilling the people's trust.
