The National Dialogue Commission welcomed Irish Deputy Prime Minister, Michael Martin, and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defense at its headquarters here today.
The two sides sat down to exchange views on the ongoing national Dialogue in Ethiopia.
During the meeting, Chief Commissioner, Mesfin Ar'aya (Prof.) briefed the Irish delegation on the progress and activities of the dialogue process, which is currently underway across Ethiopia.

Deputy Prime Minister Martin, in turn, shared insights from Ireland's peace building experience, highlighting the crucial role of political commitment and embracing diversity in achieving successful reconciliation. He particularly emphasized the significant impact of women's leadership in driving Ireland's peace process.
The Irish delegation expressed unwavering support for Ethiopia's national consultation process, pledging assistance in various areas. This visit signifies a strong partnership between the two countries and highlights Ireland's commitment to supporting peaceful dialogue and reconciliation efforts in Ethiopia.//
