Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed is extending an invitation to both Ethiopians and international visitors to discover the Hambericho mountain ranges, which he describes as powerful symbols of the nation's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
These impressive peaks in Central Ethiopia are not only abundant in biodiversity but also steeped in history. According to the Prime Minister, the Hambericho mountain and its surroundings served as the historical seat for successive Kembata kings from the 16th to the 19th centuries.

"I encourage citizens and visitors from around the world to explore the astounding beauty of Hambericho," Dr. Abiy urged. He specifically highlighted a unique local landmark: "Challenge yourselves by climbing the magnificent 777 steps, a testament to the knowledge and effort of the local community. I have also climbed these steps." His call aims to draw attention to this significant site, celebrating both its natural grandeur and its historical and cultural importance.
