Addis Ababa University (AAU) has been invited to join a Russian African network of universities, as part of the BRICS framework.
This invitation was extended during a meeting between AAU's Acting President, Dr. Samuel Kifle, and the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Konstantinos Moglebsky.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between AAU and Russia in various fields, including technology, medicine, space science, physics, minerals, and energy.
As a member of the BRICS Universities Union, AAU has been actively pursuing these partnerships.
The Russian delegation expressed their support for AAU's transition to full autonomy during their visit to the university.
