Djibouti claimed it has learned much from Ethiopia's Green Initiative (GLI).
The country's Minister of Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development, Mohammad Abdullahi Musa, said Djibouti has learned enough from the work done in Ethiopia under the Green Footprint Program.
Visiting the Pavilion in which Ethiopia is showcasing the GLI as side event of the COP 28 Climate Summit being held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Mohammed said under the initiative of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the GLI activities carried out by Ethiopia in the last five years have been great and remarkable.
He further said that Djibouti will exert efforts to implement Ethiopia’s green development program.
The minister mentioned that Ethiopia and Djibouti are friendly countries with long-term relations. They mentioned that they are working together not only in the transport and electricity sector but also in environmental protection.
Ethiopia has so far offered significant number of seedlings to Djibouti for the development of Green Development in Djibouti.
