Nigerian Pilot Lands in Wrong City 200 miles Afar from Destination

A pilot flying United Nigeria Airlines landed a passenger airplane in a city nearly 200 miles away from its planned destination, according to local media.

Although the airliner announced that the incident was due to bad weather, passengers were confused with the statement.

The crew on board of a United Nigeria Airlines flight, NUA 0504, which took off from Legos, told they landed to the travelers that they had landed in Abuja, the pilot had, in fact, grounded the aircraft at the Asaba International Airport, causing some confusion among the passengers.

Despite United Nigeria Airlines blame on poor destination weather, passengers said the "sky was clear", and the pilot announced that he had received the "wrong flight plan" from Lagos.
