Speaker of the House Tagesse Chafo has called on Ethiopians to learn from the past and build a better future. Speaking during a visit to the National Palace, he emphasized the importance of remembering the nation's history and working diligently to achieve national progress and prosperity.
He stated that this generation has a responsibility to learn from, remember, and create history. Tagesse highlighted the need to connect the past with the present and the present with the future to build a brighter tomorrow.
He praised the renovation and modernization of the National Palace, originally built by Emperor Haile Selassie, as a significant achievement, making it a fitting venue for national and diplomatic discussions.
He also commended Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's leadership in driving innovation and efficient implementation of projects. Tagesse cited positive developments in urban renewal, rural development, wheat and rice farming, livestock production, manufacturing industries, and tourism as examples of progress. He also noted the inclusive nature of the ongoing national dialogue.
