Ethiopia's Health Minister, Dr. Mekdes Daba, has officially arrived in Bahir Dar City today accompanied by top government officials.
She received a warm welcome at Dej Azmach Belay Zeleke Airport from the Deputy Chief of the Amhara Region, Abdu Hussein, along with other key figures including the Head of the Social Sector Coordinator and Education Bureau, Mulunesh Dessie, and the Head of the Amhara Regional Health Bureau, Abdulkarim Mengistu.
The Minister visited the Bahir Dar Health Center and the Felege Hiwot General Specialized Hospital. The Deputy Mayor of Bahir Dar City Administration, Asme Birle, stated that they will work to ensure that the health institutions provide better public service.
High-level government officials have said that visiting health institutions helps them to work better and solve their problems. The leaders have also expressed their belief that they will support the institutions to provide better services.
