The Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) revealed that during the first three months of the 2017 fiscal year, it received $519 million in revenue from coffee exports.
The Authority disclosed that over 115,851 tonnes of coffee, tea, and spices were exported during the quarter, generating over $522 million.
The authority claims that the production of coffee accounts for the greatest portion of earned revenue.
The Authority emphasized that throughout the specified time frame, 519 million US dollars were earned and 115 thousand 174 point 75 tonnes of coffee were shipped.
Furthermore, it was revealed that this year's volume and income had grown by 69% and 46%, respectively, compared to the same period in the 2016 fiscal year.
