The newly inaugurated president of Ethiopia, Taye Atsikesilassie, has expressed his commitment to bringing the vision of a Digital Ethiopia to life during his administration.
As an experienced diplomat, Taye highlighted that significant groundwork has already been laid to facilitate this initiative, including the development of effective policies.
He proudly mentioned that 737 government offices have begun offering digital services, ensuring that citizens receive high-quality and accessible assistance.
However, the president acknowledged that there is still much work to be done. He emphasized the ongoing efforts to cultivate a skilled workforce in the digital sector, particularly through initiatives like the five million coders project.
This initiative aims to empower young people and civil servants across all regions with the knowledge and tools necessary to contribute to the realization of Digital Ethiopia, further reinforcing Taye's vision for a technologically advanced nation.
