Ethiopia, Azerbaijan Discuss to Cooperate on Averting Climate Change Impacts

Ethiopia and Azerbaijan discussed cooperating to avert climate change-related calamities.

Speaker of the Ethiopian House of Peoples Representatives, Tagesse Chafo, welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation to his office and engaged in extensive talks about an assortment of concerns, particularly regarding how closely they may collaborate to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Speaking on matters of green development, Speaker Tagesse pointed out that Ethiopia remains committed to mitigating climate change as a top priority and that numerous initiatives in this area have produced noticeable outcomes.

Ethiopia’s Minister of Planning and Development, Fitsum Assefa (PhD), stated that while Ethiopia is attempting to avert climate change, many changes have not been come across.

Minister Fitsum stated that further cooperation between Ethiopia and Azerbaijan is essential to achieving long-term outcomes.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, stated that Ethiopia and his nation are open to collaborating on climate change.

Minister Babayev also suggested that Ethiopia might benefit from Azerbaijan’s extensive expertise in thwarting climate change-related calamities like floods and droughts.
