Scholars have noted that Ethiopia’s contributions to pan-Africanism, people’s freedom, justice, religious equality, and human rights should be made known to the world community through media outlets.

Ethiopia is unique in that it has contributed more in detail and concert to the pan-African struggle than any other country, says Ewunetu Alene, the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Democracy Affairs with the House of People’s Representatives (HPR), claiming that Ethiopia is written in books and various media outlets stories in different times, although its contributions are not loudly acknowledged but rather are hidden in many places.

The Chairperson emphasized that although Ethiopia has done many good works for the world, there has been a negative campaign in the international media outlets. He also reminded everyone that Ethiopia’s contribution to the struggle of Pan-Africanism has not been done well in books and media and that the world should know about it in detail through the media outlets accordingly.

To further enhance the nation’s reputation and acquire the respect of the international community for the contributions Ethiopia has made to the world, Ewunetu also demanded that the media in Ethiopia utilize international languages to achieve the goals.

Prof. Adem Kamil, a distinguished historian, asserted that Ethiopia possesses the most remarkable history in the world but that the world lacks a comprehensive understanding of the country. Ethiopia is a nation with a history spanning more than three millennia, which vanquished colonialists with the Adwa victory and achieved unique honor on the continent in the Pan-Africanist revolution, Adem explained. Ethiopia made the largest contribution to the founding of the Organization of African Unity and the United Nations that prejudice has always existed throughout the continent, Adem recalled that, as brothers and sisters, all of the continent’s citizens should now work to overcome any differences to stand together for the growth and prosperity of the continent.
