Ethiopian athletes have demonstrated remarkable prowess on the international stage, securing victories in various prestigious competitions.

In the Berlin Half Marathon, Ethiopian athletes showcased their dominance by claiming victories in both the men's and women's races.

Meanwhile, in Vienna, Austria, Haftamu Abadi made history at the Vienna Marathon. The 21-year-old Ethiopian athlete, running only his second marathon, crossed the finish line first with a time of 2:08.28. This achievement makes him the youngest winner in the history of the Vienna Marathon, and he also improved his personal best by over two minutes in the process.

Adding to the nation's triumphs, the inaugural Grand Slam Track event in Kingston, Jamaica, saw further success for Ethiopian athletes. Ejigayehu Taye emerged as the champion in the women's long-distance events. She secured first place in both the 5,000-meter race with a time of 14 minutes and 54.88 seconds and the 3,000-meter race, accumulating a total of 24 points to clinch the overall championship title. For her outstanding performance, Ejigayehu Taye, a World Championship bronze medalist, was awarded $100,000. Fellow Ethiopian athlete Tsige Gebreselama also made her mark, finishing third in both the 5,000-meter and 3,000-meter races, earning her a total of 12 points and a $30,000 prize. Kenya's Agnes Ngetich finished second overall in the women's long-distance standings.

In the men's events at the Kingston Grand Slam Track, Hagos Gebrhiwot triumphed in the 3,000-meter long-distance race, clocking in at 7 minutes and 51.55 seconds. Following his fourth-place finish in the initial 5,000-meter event, Hagos secured second place overall with a total of 17 points. The Olympic bronze and World Championship silver medalist received a prize of $50,000 for his achievements. American athlete Fisher claimed the overall victory in the men's long-distance category with 18 points, while Ethiopia's Tilahun Haile finished fourth overall.
