Ethiopia is set to celebrate Flag Day on Monday, October 4, 2017 E.C., as announced by the FDRE House of People's Representatives (HPR).
This year's celebration will carry the theme "Our flag for our national unity, sovereignty, and the height of Ethiopia!" The HPR has indicated that extensive preparations are in place to mark this significant occasion for the seventeenth time.
The observance of Flag Day will be coordinated by the FDRE House of People's Representatives, reflecting the values associated with the flag as recognized by federal, state, and local authorities.
At 10:30 AM, various institutions, including federal government offices, regional administrations, Defence Army camps, and Ethiopian embassies, will participate in the celebrations simultaneously.
The event will feature a ceremony in front of the national flag, emphasizing the importance of national unity, sovereignty, and progress, which have been celebrated through this annual event for the past sixteen years.
