Ethiopia-South Sudan plan to Build Road Connecting Two Countries

By Ahmed Mohammed

Ethiopia and South Sudan have planned to build a 220 road connecting the two countries, according to reports. The move came after the 738 million dollar financial agreement signed in May 2023 between the two neighboring countries.

It has been pointed out that the National Transitional Legislative Council of South Sudan has approved the financial agreement signed to build the Ethiopian-South Sudan cross-border road. It is also noted that the project aims to bring the relationship between the two countries to a higher level and strengthen the economic relationship by showing the growing cooperation and mutual benefit between Ethiopia and South Sudan.

According to the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement has been submitted to President Salva Kiir for final approval after it has been unanimously approved by the Assembly.
