The Ethiopian government is committed to developing trade opportunities in the Horn of Africa region, according to Dr. Kassahun Gofe, Minister of Trade and Regional Integration.
He made this statement during a business development conference organized by Ethiopian logistics sector associations. Dr. Kassahun emphasized the crucial role of trade and investment relations with Djibouti, highlighting the strong collaboration and infrastructure links as creating a favorable environment for mutual growth and new opportunities.
He reiterated the government's commitment to expanding trade in the region, working towards a reliable framework of cooperation aligned with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by removing trade barriers. Djibouti, he stated, is a strategic partner in expanding Ethiopia's diverse export sector, focusing on manufacturing and agriculture.
