Ustaz Jemal Beshir, the manager of Kings of Abay Media, stated that it has been possible to exert influence globally by providing accurate information about the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam over the past 7 years.
During his interview with ETV, Ustaz Jemal said that significant changes in perception have been achieved in recent years by altering misleading information that was being disseminated in many Arab countries.
He also mentioned that by conducting activities with slogans like "The dam is mine" and similar ones, it was possible to make the public feel a sense of ownership.
He further explained that this has made it possible to bring even people with differing opinions to a common understanding.
Ustaz Jemal noted that high-ranking government officials, ministers, ambassadors, as well as volunteers, have done extensive work over the past years by disseminating information about the dam in various languages.
He stated that this has created an opportunity for the international community to know and visit Ethiopia, and that the Renaissance Dam is an indication that diplomatic efforts have come a long way.
Ustaz Jemal Beshir, who said that in-depth diplomatic work was done during the challenging filling process of the Renaissance Dam, explained that this has resulted in success by influencing the world.
He added that the Renaissance Dam has played a significant role in uniting the diaspora and other Ethiopians on national issues.
He also stated that the government has done a great job in clarifying the confusion surrounding the Renaissance Dam and providing accurate information.
