Chief Administrator Calls on Investors to Roll in to Harrar

Chief Administrator of the Harari Regional State called upon foreign and local investors to roll in to the historic city of Harrar and sink their money in a host of sectors.

While opening the exhibition & Bazar staged in Harrar town as part of the 26th edition of the international Harari day celebrations, the Administrator, Orwin Bedri, pledged that his administration will provide comprehensive support for interested investors to engage in the hotel and tourism sectors.

Saying that Harar still has immense potential for tourism, trade and investment, Bedri gave his word that his administration will see to it that investors desirous to engage in hotel and tourism will be provided with attractive incentives.

"Harar, a historic city with significant tourism potential, invites local and foreign investors to engage in tourism and manufacturing. The government will assist by providing land and support. This event aims to revitalize tourism, boost investment, enhance social interaction, and stimulate economic growth," said the administrator.

 The historic city of Harar has finalized preparations to welcome thousands of New Generation of Ethiopian Diasporas and Friends of Harari people.

Head of Harari Tourism & Heritage Bureau, Tewolda Abdush, noted that the region welcome thousands of New generation of Ethiopian Diasporas and friends of Harari people will be attending the international day of Harari day.  

The event is said to offer opportunities for the Diaspora to connect with Ethiopia's history, culture, and wisdom and aims to boost tourism and investment in the region.

The 26th Harari International Day will be celebrated with pomp and fanfare, for a span of 10 days beginning July 4, 2024.//
