IWPG’s 6th Int’l Loving-Peace Art Competition Kicked Off

International Women Peace Group (IWPG)’s 6th International Loving-Peace Art Competition commenced in major cities globally, including in Africa, the US, Europe, and Asian countries.

The 2024 edition of the competition, which off recently, is part of IWPG’s peace culture initiative, allowing children to imagine and draw about peace. It has been held in major cities all around the world every year, and this year marks the 6th year, according to IWPG.

In Ethiopia, the competition gathered over 1000 students from various schools.

Describing the inspiration of the children participating in the completion, Coordinator Ji Eun Song, who has been lately dispatched to Ethiopia, said, “The children looked so bright, and I could really feel peace.” At the same time, the parents were introduced to IWPG peace activities and recruited as IWPG members.     

   
IWPG is working to build various peace partnerships through MOU/MOAs, urge for the institutionalization of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW), provide Women’s Peace Education, and promote peace, laying the foundation for female solidarity and world peace, according to the group.
