Ethiopia Progresses Impacting Regional, Global Relations: Amb. Dina Mufti

Ethiopia’s seasoned, Amb. Dina Mufti, said Ethiopia has strengthened its progress in impacting the regional and global relations.  

Ethiopia believes ‘Neighbor-oriented diplomacy’ can positively impact the country’s economic development through multilateral trade integrations, he told EBC.

Turning back the hands of time, Ethiopia has been the main actor and active participant in the process of peace and stability of the region with far-reaching positive implications across the globe.

Moreover, Ethiopia has surged forward with its historical diplomacy anchored on proximity. Its foreign and international relations is paying off over the course, particularly under the reform unleashed by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.  

The foreign relations spans around neighbor countries to developed ones on areas of diplomacy, economy and political aspects.

Dina outlined the achievements so far in international relations, as well as the country’s push towards pursuing and joining international institutions that are said to be a relief to developing countries.

The government is playing a crucial role in maintaining sustainable peace and security in the region in a bid to enhancing the international relations, the ambassador added.

Conflicts around the globe, as well as natural disasters that follow climate changes, has been cited by Dina, as factors that can deteriorate the international relations, in terms of politics, trade and flow of goods and services, tourism among others.
