The Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has congratulated Keir Starmer, the newly elected Prime Minister of the UK, on his election.
Keir Starmer became Britain’s Prime Minister on Friday, ushering in a new era after 14 years of Conservative rule, following a stunning victory that brought his left-leaning Labour Party to power with a huge majority.
“Congratulations Keir Starmer on your election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Wishing you a successful term,” PM Abiy said.
The Ethiopian Premier also said that he is looking forward to further enhancing relations between Ethiopia and the United Kingdom.
