Jagol Wall Project Ignites Development, Revitalizing Harar's Historic Core

Harari Regional State Chief Administrator Ordin Bedri announced today that significant development initiatives, befitting Harar's rich history and civilization, have been successfully completed in a short timeframe. His remarks came during the inauguration of the third phase of the Jagol Wall inner-city redevelopment project, a key undertaking in the region's revitalization efforts.

The third phase of the Jagol redevelopment, Ordin explained, incorporated integrated infrastructure development. He underscored the collaborative nature of the project, which saw the participation of over 55 institutions alongside individuals. This concerted effort enabled the rapid completion of approximately 6 kilometers of inner-city roads.

Chief Administrator Ordin emphasized the importance of sustaining the ongoing development work, noting that these projects have effectively brought the public and government closer together.

Tewolde Abdosh, Head of the Harari Region Culture, Heritage, and Tourism Bureau, highlighted the positive impact of the Jagol inner-city redevelopment, stating it has revitalized the tourism sector in the historic city.

This latest phase builds upon the success of the first and second phases of the Jagol redevelopment, which previously saw the development of 7 kilometers of inner-city roads, further enhancing Harar's accessibility and appeal.
