Ambassador Massinga highlighted Ethiopia's rapid economic growth and affirmed the US's commitment to collaborating with its vital partner in the Horn of Africa to bolster regional peace and security.
This endorsement comes as Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has consistently stressed Ethiopia's pursuit of sea access through peaceful and diplomatic channels.
Massinga underscored Ethiopia's substantial population and its burgeoning economy, noting projections for this swift economic expansion to continue. He emphasized that expanding its options for sea access is critical for Ethiopia to realize its ambition of building a globally competitive economy. The Ambassador reiterated the US government's backing for Ethiopia's peaceful and diplomatic endeavors in this regard.
