The Ethiopian Federal Police has conveyed a message of good wishes to all followers of the Christian faith, saying, "Happy Fasika Holiday!"
The Federal Police stated that, in coordination with other security and intelligence bodies, it has made sufficient preparations for the holiday to be celebrated peacefully across all parts of the country, including Addis Ababa city, without any security concerns, allowing followers of the faith to celebrate the holiday in peace and joy. It also stated that its police mission is being carried out effectively and diligently, having commenced operations.
The Federal Police called on the public to further strengthen their ongoing participation in the security work being carried out to prevent potential obstacles to the holiday's observance by taking ownership and to fulfill their civic duty by providing tips through the Citizens' Participation Application (EFP App) and the 991 free phone line when they see suspicious things that could pose a security threat.
The Ethiopian Federal Police also expressed its good wishes for the federal police force members, city and regional police leaders and members, as well as other security and intelligence forces who are spending the holiday on duty, away from their families, prioritizing the public interest, wishing them a holiday of peace, health, love, and togetherness.
