In Dire Dawa, followers of the Islamic faith have offered refreshments, including bread, water, and juice, for their Christian brothers and sisters returning from Good Friday prayer.
Good Friday, or Siklet, was celebrated by followers of the Christian faith in Dire Dawa starting from the early morning with prostration, hymns, prayers, and repentance.

ENA reported that Muslim religious fathers and followers showed their solidarity by sharing meals with their Christian brothers and sisters returning from prayer at the gates of various churches.
It is also known that a group led by Dire Dawa City Administration Mayor Kadir Juhar, and including members of the administration's cabinet participated in the meal-sharing ceremony.
