Demeke Makonnen says the long journey of his party and government leadership has unraveled that fact that Ethiopia is a great nation that is the archetype of thrilling layers of mystery.
He made the remark at the grand farewell ceremony held by the Prosperity Party.
He took the occasion to hail the commencement of peaceful transfer of power being witnessed. He has also stressed on the importance of leaving behind a noble history that people will not regret about in the future.
He said that his leadership journey has given him the lesson that Ethiopia is aslo endowed with strong people with a great nation. As such, the country deserves to have a leadership that should live up to the expectation of the people.
He has also appreciated the various achievements the east African nation has made, including the construction of the colossal GERD, and Ethiopia’s quest to have access to sea outlets.
Extending his heartfelt thanks to all Ethiopians, he has called on fellow citizens to be successful in their respective duty of assignment, wishing all the best for all.
