Investigators Exploring a Possible Link between Las Vegas Explosion, New Orleans Attack

A massive explosion involving a Tesla Cybertruck packed with fuel canisters and fireworks outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas has left investigators exploring a possible link to a deadly car-ramming attack in New Orleans.

The Las Vegas incident, which occurred near a hotel entrance, resulted in the death of the Cybertruck's driver and minor injuries to seven others. Dramatic footage shows the vehicle exploding, sending fireworks in multiple directions. Authorities are examining the possibility of a connection to the New Orleans attack, where a 42-year-old driver rammed a pickup truck into a crowd, killing 15 and injuring 35 before being fatally shot by police.

Both vehicles were reportedly rented via the Turo app, and while the Las Vegas driver's identity remains unconfirmed, authorities are investigating whether the incidents are linked, potentially involving terrorism or connections to President-elect Donald Trump (who owns the hotel) or Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

President Biden confirmed investigations are underway, but stressed that no connection has yet been established. The FBI is also involved, examining the possibility of a terrorist act, though no evidence currently supports this theory. While the Las Vegas area is deemed safe, the investigation continues, with authorities working to determine the motives behind both incidents.

The Trump organization released a statement confirming the incident and assuring the safety of guests and staff reported the BBC.
