East Africa is expected to face drier-than-normal conditions from January to March 2025. Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi, and Tanzania will be most affected, experiencing below-average rainfall and above-average temperatures. The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Center issued the statement on Monday.
While some areas in northern Uganda and western Sudan may see normal temperatures, only southern Tanzania and southwestern Uganda are expected to receive more rainfall than usual. This highlights the growing climate variability impacting the region. The story is from Xinhua.
